Do you agree with Arkansas' decision to fire Mike Anderson?

Sorry to see Coach Anderson let go. I believe he would have taken his team to the NCAA Tournament next year. Now we start rebuilding again.

Hogs to meet Commodores on Saturday for third time in Fayetteville in 27 years

Wally Hall knows which side his bread is buttered on. Whenever Wally picks Arkansas by a touchdown or less, it means he expects the other team to win.

Tax scam time

Preach on, Brother Paul. Republicans cut taxes on the super-wealthy, again, then claim the deficit is the result of social security and medicare. They can't stand the thought that the government is there to help anyone except themselves. The people who fuss about "socialism" the most are the ones who rely on government largesse in the form of hefty grants from and contracts with the government

Judge: Little Rock police officer justified in shooting of robbery suspect

Did the prosecuting attorney seriously believe Brashears would be convicted? Shooting an escaping felon is commendable. It should not be prosecutable. This was a total waste of government resources and taxpayer money. I saw where Brashears sued the City of Little Rock and Chief Buckner. I hope he gets every penny he sued for.

Ex-Little Rock police officer found not guilty in shooting of carjacking suspect

Mr. Brashears deserves a medal, not prosecution. It was an absolute waste of taxpayer's money to prosecute this man.

Arkansas' high court blocks Issue 1, keeps wage-hike proposal

The Supreme Court made the right decision. The Legislature has no business making rules for the Courts. That was the biggest problem. Close behind was setting an arbitrary limit of $500,000.00 on non-economic damages. Granted, this is rarely a factor because very, very few cases result in verdicts for noneconomic damages above $500,000.00, such as the Faulkner County Case that got Mike Maggio in trouble. However, such cases do happen, and the victims deserve to be compensated.

Who will be the wiener? The hottest dog, frankly

Thank you, Otus, for your final column. You were able to look beyond the superiority of your species and write something nice about dachshunds, which are my favorite breed of dog.

Longtime Democrat-Gazette TV columnist, editor dies at 69

Sad to hear of Michael Story's passing. His column brought joy to my heart every week. Never quite understood who Kalaka was, and I sure didn't understand how a dead cat could communicate with those of us in the earthly realm. Don't suppose we'll hear from Otus again in this lifetime.

With all the disclaimers and representations that Otus' column was FICTION, my dear mother absolutely believed it when Otus wrote that a 52 story building would be constructed at the Lakewood Exit in North Little Rock which would hold everyone's permanent records. Some of my family members absolutely believed Otus' story that Rush Limbaugh was retiring.

Rest in peace, Michael. We will miss you.

Defense provides Razorbacks hope this year

Delta 2 is right. The game wasn't as close as it appeared. A&M might still have had time to come back and score if Arkansas had scored a touchdown. There's no guarantee Arkansas could have scored 2 points on the PAT or outscored A&M in overtime. If Arkansas had won, it would have been because A&M shot itself in the foot several times. (Aggie gonna Aggie). A&M missed 2 chip shot field goal attempts and should have been able to punch the ball in for a touchdown at least one of those times. Mond was intercepted twice, at least once in the Red Zone. A&M should have won by at least 21 points. The Aggie pass on 3rd down with 2 minutes left made no sense. Why not bleed the clock down by 40 seconds or a little more and possibly gain a first down on a quarterback keeper or a handoff to Trayveon Williams? I don't believe Wally is right about Jimbo Fisher not giving any credit to Arkansas. On the other hand, Chad Morris didn't give any credit to A&M for winning, nor has Wally. All Wally can say is the refs and A&M cheated and we have a good defense. Typical propaganda from the man who tells it "Like it is." Not.
