Democrat-Gazette out to shift print readers to digital by '20

My 85 year old mother with dementia takes the paper daily and works the crossword and enjoys reading the articles. It is one of the things that helps to slow the progression of her dementia. Since there is no Universal Crossword in the Sunday paper, Sunday only delivery is of no use to her. And, it is certainly not worth the cost. I asked her if she wanted an iPad and she asked "What's an iPad?"... There are a lot of deliveries where she lives, and most have the same question. I guess some of our older population are just out of luck. Boy, that's progress. On behalf of the older population that are not tech-savvy and those that are not mentally able to adjust to change - Thanks Demo-Gaz, for kicking them aside in the name of "progress."
