You are incorrect in what clients know about their contracts with their attorneys. They are told exactly what fees will be. Why should the legislature get to tell anyone how much they can charge on a negotiated contract. If they do it to one group, they can do it to all. Clients negotiate different fee rates all the time. It is part of the business. What is wrong is to limit anyone's income legislatively or effectively eliminate a constitutional right without people understanding what they are giving up. Why should anyone group get special treatment and protection over another. Everyone should be treated equally.

"While I agree that it's disappointing that Clinton won the popular vote, but lost the Electoral College, the College is there for a reason."

I understand the reason Clinton lost the EC very well. It was disappointing to me the Democrats nominated Clinton and Trump was the Republican nominee. They both inhaled

RBear,
One of the most liberal senators in this state's history spoke at my college graduation. While I did not agree with his positions and political leanings, I did not make a display and walk out of the ceremony. I gave the man the respect his office merited. One thing I learned while in college is that we don't have to all agree, but we should behave in a civil mannner.

Begin typing here... Who are the real bad guys. Since the school shooting in Florida the cry has been ban assault rifles like the AR-15. The AR is a good weapon but it's not an assault rifle. AR-15 stands for Armalite Rifle model 15. There are many other weapons that use the same round. .223 or 5.56 if you want it metric. How many it's estimated around 10M in the US estimated around 10 in the US. But there are about 110M rifles in the US. And there are about 120M handguns. Then there are the 86M shotguns. Americans do like our guns.
But if we want to murder someone what is most often the weapon of choice? A handgun! 7105 murders were committed in 2016 (it’s the latest data I’ve found so far) with handguns. Rifles accounted for 378. Shotguns were 262. Other guns were 186. There were 3077 unspecified firearms murders. But even if they were all cause by rifles (not likely), the total would still be less than handguns. And the ARs didn’t even cause all the deaths by rifles.
The cry goes out don’t accept money from the NRA, because the NRA supports guns, and guns kill people. Crucify the NRA.
NRA membership is about 5M. They support the 2nd Amendment, teach guns safety courses, and advocates firearms training. Were any murders committed by NRA members? Probably not or the media would still be screaming, ‘see we said they were killers’.
Only the truly ignorant and illogical would support go-fund me for that cause. But then they probably think Congress sending $528M to Planned Parenthood to facilitate 328K abortions last year is a good idea.

The fact that 328K women went there to get abortions says they need to change their name to- 'You have unprotected sex and we'll scrape you. NBD'

The Senn brothers from 6284 Mt Holly Rd El Dorado are actually notorious criminals and gangsters one of them Nathan has already been arrested before for drug dealing in El Dorado. They stole the Superior Coin business on July 21 last year along with several million dollars of cash and 260 million coins. They actually have zero right to anything they are claiming and the FBI will move to indict them soon. Just read my Linked In or my Facebook there are dozens of documents documenting the theft

REBEAR, are you still hung up on RETURNS vs REMOVALS? Ok, one more time for the students that haven't been paying attention...
*
There are two ways in which someone can be forced to leave the U.S. The first is by removal, which the federal government defines as “the compulsory and confirmed movement of an inadmissible or deportable alien out of the United States based on an order of removal.” The second is by return, or “the confirmed movement of an inadmissible or deportable alien out of the United States not based on an order of removal.” When deportation is defined as the sum of removals and returns, our understanding of deportation changes. Deportations were not at all-time high levels under Obama, but removals were. The Obama administration has removed a record number of immigrants, but it’s inaccurate to say that it has deported a record number.

The distinctions between the two might not seem like a big deal — they both result in people leaving, often against their will — but there are some key differences that are worth considering. Removal comes with an automatic five- or 10-year ban on applying to re-enter the country; if apprehended a second time, migrants could face incarceration and a 20-year or lifetime ban from re-entry. The repercussions of return, or voluntary departure, are less harsh. In some cases individuals are allowed to remain in the country for a short period to tie up loose ends. Voluntary departure also comes with shorter bars to re-entry, or no bar at all if one has been in the U.S. for less than 180 days. But both removal and return require an individual to leave the country by order of the federal government, and both should be counted in the total number of deportations.

I don't know how it can be any clearer than that.

Remember Cotton voted against the farm bill back in 2014. The man has something against farmers in Arkansas. I hope the farmers and citizens of Arkansas wake-up and vote their interest because he surely doesn't have their interest. He has Trump interest.

Rbear...your dishonesty truly knows no bounds. Your Messiah Barack HUSSEIN Obama said he was going to transform America and he kept his promise. He nearly doubled the national debt between 2010 and 2017, that took over 200 years to accumulate. Then he set race relations back before 1964 with his constant reference to race and God knows that is now a runaway train, everyone not aligned with your ilks is now a white supremist. I suspect it will take generations to undo the damage HUSSEIN did.
