Former Lady Razorback, Now Author Begins Arkansas High School Tour Promoting Literacy Little Rock, AR- Young Adult Author Celia Anderson begins a statewide tour October 15, 2009 with Mountain Home High School. Celia’s novel, Love, Ocean released in January this year and has since become very popular among students. After returning from a librarian’s conference this summer, Ms. Anderson says she was so impressed with the librarians that she knew she had to do something special for them. “The educators in attendance were very supportive of my vision. You could tell that everyone in the room loved books and they wanted their students to share in that love. I’m just doing my part to insure that happens.” Never forgetting her basketball background, Celia will be sharing her presentation GAMETIME (Gaining a Meaningful Education to Insure Maximum Elevation), to express to students the importance of education and reading. She will also be signing books and having lunch with female athletes in some schools. “I’m excited that I can be a tangible example to any student who feels that greatness is not for them. I tell them without hesitation, education is the key.” Joining Mountain Home is Lakeside, Lake Hamilton, Augusta, Little Rock McClellan and Fayetteville High.
