WHAT: Barbara/Jean will present a preview of Milly’s spring 2010 collection. Champagne will be served. Guests will enjoy a special Milly gift with purchase.
The punk-prep connection reveals itself in a sassy and confident combination of city-chic silhouettes, bold embellishments and rich textures. Collection standouts include a cutaway-sleeve crinkle silk chiffon dress in shocking pink and a diamond cotton pique jacket with angular metallic stud detailing. Custom-made Italian cotton jacquards and raw silk bark cloths are cut in an assortment of city-ready staples: mini-dresses, tailored jackets, cuffed low-slung pants and a new item for the season, the skort. One-shoulder dresses are an important silhouette this season, offering a modern, sexy shape in shimmer silk gauze while cropped-sleeve coats in swing shapes are classically cool.
