The 24th annual World Championship Cardboard Boat Races
The 24th annual World Championship Cardboard Boat Races, a much anticipated event, takes place July 31 in Heber Springs. Races begin at 10 a.m., and there are youth and adult divisions. Contestants also vie for Pride of the Fleet award or the notorious Titanic Award. Other activities surrounding the event include a Tug of War contest, kids dig for treasures, sand sculpting contest, volleyball tournament, and World Championship Watermelon Eating Contest.
