Free Photography for Kids Class

Free Photography for Kids Class planned Nov. 20 at the Arts & Science Center A free Photography for Kids Class is planned for 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, at the Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas, 701 Main St., Pine Bluff. The class, co-sponsored by the Mosaic Templars Museum in Little Rock and the Arts & Science Center, is geared toward students in the 2nd to 8th grades. While the event is free and includes free refreshments, pre-registration is required by Tuesday, Nov. 16. As part of the class, educators from the Mosaic Templars Museum will share their knowledge of photography for kids. Participants will learn to use digital cameras, photography 101, discover the history of notable black Arkansas photographers, experience what makes Arkansas landscape special and capture great photos of the community. The center, located at 701 Main St. in Pine Bluff, is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, 1-4 p.m. Saturday and closed on Sunday. Support for the center is provided in part by the Arkansas Arts Council, an agency of the Department of Arkansas Heritage, and the National Endowment for the Arts.
