Its BACK by popular demand! The City of Camden and Team Camden present… The Movies on the River OCTOBER series at the new Camden Riverwalk Amphitheater. Grab your family, lawn chairs, stadium seats and blankets and head back down to the Camden Riverwalk Amphitheater to watch the newest Hollywood blockbuster movies. Don’t miss the return of Movies on the River under the stars and against the backdrop of the majestic Ouachita River on the giant BIG SCREEN complete with massive Theater Style Sound on select SATURDAY nights through October. “This summer’s Movies on the River was such a phenomenal success that we couldn’t wait to bring it back to the residents of Camden and the surrounding communities this Fall” said City of Camden Mayor, Chris Claybaker. “This makes for the perfect family outing to go along with the beauty of the changing season at the new Camden Riverfront and the fun so many families have already shared at the new Riverwalk Amphitheater” Movies on the River October series is a FREE event and begins Saturday Evening, October 9th at 7pm, continuing Saturday Evening October 23rd at 7pm, and concludes Saturday Afternoon, October 30th with a Special Halloween Event with candy, games, entertainment and fun starting at 5pm and concluding with a Spooktacular Movies on the River at 7pm with Disney’s “The Haunted Mansion”. Vendors will be on hand for snacks and bringing your own pop, water and other goodies before settling down for the entertainment are also welcome. Here's the schedule: · October 9th: The action adventure “Iron Man 2” · October 23rd: The 2010 animated blockbuster “How to Train Your Dragon” · October 30th: A Special Halloween Event with fun, candy and entertainment starting at 5pm and Disney’s “The Haunted Mansion” at 7pm Admission is Free Movies will be shown outdoors at the Camden Riverwalk Amphitheater on a Giant movie screen starting at dusk each Saturday Evening (approximately 7:00pm).
