Enjoy the hilarious fun of the 28th annual Beanfest & Outhouse Races on Oct. 29-31 in Mountain View. More than 1,000 pounds of pinto beans are cooked in huge iron kettles around the courthouse square. Folks come from all around armed with their secret ingredients and the determination to stir up the best batch of beans. Later the most outrageous race in the country takes place as outhouse racers are pushed down the race course by teams vying for the coveted gold toilet seat. Admission is free.
