STEEL MAGNOLIAS COMES TO OLT FOR THREE NIGHT RUN SEPT. 3-5

the New York Gives Back group, in Mena to help repair
damage from the April, 2009 tornado.
BACKGROUND: OLT on the Road, the traveling division of the Ouachita Little Theatre in Mena, Arkansas, is presenting its first show, in its home base, before taking it to other theaters around Arkansas and Western Oklahoma. The play is the well-known Southern drama Steel Magnolias by Robert Harling, directed by OLT’s Tim Hesse. This show will move from the OLT’s home venue to a dinner theater performance the following weekend at Spinelli’s Café in Mena, on September 10 and 11. Thereafter, it will travel around Arkansas and Western Oklahoma, the first performance occurring on November 6 at the Royal Theater in Benton, Arkansas.
There will be a large group of people in Mena from the New York Gives Back organization, who will be helping rebuild houses damaged in the April 2009 tornado. The OLT will provide a performance of Steel Magnolias on Saturday, September 4 for this volunteer group and anyone else who wishes to attend, at no charge.
