MASTER NATURALIST TO TALK ABOUT POLAR BEARS vs. CLIMATE CHANGE On Sunday, August 14th at 2:00 p.m., Denis Dean, Arkansas Master Naturalist and Hobbs State Park co-volunteer of the year - 2010, will present a program at the Hobbs State Park - Conservation Area visitor center entitled "Polar Bears vs. Climate Change". This entertaining, informative, and thought provoking program will explore the melting Arctic ice which is threatening the polar bear's home and way of life including the possibility of polar bears once again becoming brown bears (which they once were). Fascinating pictures of polar bears and their disappearing habitat will accompany the talk. Climate change affects us all. The Friends of Hobbs are pleased to add this presentation to the Friends of Hobbs Speaker Series. The Hobbs State Park - Conservation area visitor center is located on Highway 12 just east of the Hwy 12/War Eagle Road intersection. Cost: FREE The public is invited.
