The art of celebration takes over Eureka Springs
ESSA (Eureka Springs School of the Arts) wants you to bypass the mall, and do your Black Friday Shopping at their
First Annual Fine Art and Craft Show and Sale, Nov. 25-26 at the Inn of the Ozarks Convention Center, noon to 6 p.m. both
days.
Fifty fine artists and craftsmen will display original and limited edition works in oil, water, and acrylic paints, as well as pastel and pencil drawings. Fine craftwork will include pottery, jewelry, custom wood, glass, lampworking, metal crafts, and fiber arts.
The show continues a tradition of a Black Friday weekend art and craft show begun in the 1980s by the Eureka Springs Art Guild. It has gone through several promoters over the years, but under ESSA’s guidance, will also offer two days of performing arts at the show as well.
