Mother Nature Unveils Her Reading Times at Hobbs State Park for the Rest of the Year Mother Nature herself has become a permanent fixture at Hobbs State Park –Conservation Area. Every 2nd Saturday and 3rd Wednesday of the month at 10:30 a.m. she visits the park to excite the imaginations of all the children around her. Upcoming visit dates and reading topics: July 9th and 20th – Fireflies in the Night August 13th and 17th – Who Lives In the Stream? September 10th and 21st – Trees & Leaves in the Woods October 8th and 19th – Who..o..o..o Loves the Night? November 12th & 16th – Gobble, Gobble December 10th and 14th* - Critters in the Woods *Note: Since the 3rd Wednesday in December comes too close to Christmas, Mother Nature will read on the 14th instead. Story time will be followed by “hands-on” nature-craft activities. Children of all ages are welcome, however most stories will target children 3-6 years of age. Meet Mother Nature in the lobby of the Hobbs State Park – Conservation Area visitor center. Cost: FREE Length – one hour.
