Tracy Steele) NLR City Hall visits and rallies Stop the Violence Community Block Parties Stir Up Your Gifts talent showcases NATIONAL NIGHT OUT Our major project is National Night Out, a national program to promote neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships in the fight for a safer nation. National Night Out has proven to be an effective, inexpensive and enjoyable program to promote neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships in a fight for a safer nation. Last year, 200 people participated and this year we expect over 300 people. The Young Community Advocates of Baring Cross (YCA-BC) was organized in 2006. The YCA-BC is comprised of young people between the ages of 5 and 28 who reside in Baring Cross and surrounding neighborhoods. This youth group was organized in an effort to provide fun, constructive service opportunities for young people. The YCA-BC mission is to: Acknowledge young people’s talent and inspire others to recognize their God-given talent; Mentor young people as they perfect their gifts; Educate young people during their process of stirring up their gifts; and Network to make a difference in the community-one young person at a time. Our mission statement is coined the A.M.E.N. Project. How Can You Help? We are currently seeking volunteers, vendors and sponsors to help make this event a success!
