Holocaust Survivor to Speak at ASUMH

Holocaust Survivor to Speak at ASUMH on October 10 The Department of History at Arkansas State University-Mountain Home (ASUMH) will present lectures by Holocaust survivor Jerry Koenig on Monday, October 10. At noon, Mr. Koenig will address the ASUMH campus employees and students in the Vada Sheid Community Development Center. A 6:00 p.m. lecture, also in the Vada Sheid Community Development Center, is open to the community and is free of charge. Jerry Koenig is from St. Louis, Missouri, and is a member of the Holocaust Museum & Learning Center, which is a department of the Jewish Federation of St. Louis. He is a child survivor of the Holocaust, as he and his family went into hiding during World War II when the Nazi regime came into power. The presentation will be followed by a question and answer session with Koenig.
