The Ozark Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure was established in late 1999 to spread the life-saving message of early detection and to support breast cancer screening, treatment and diagnostic programs in Northwest Arkansas and the River Valley. Komen Ozark has granted $ 6.4 Million with $1.25 Million alone to the River Valley since 1999 to fund programs that support our Promise! Up to 75% of proceeds received by the Komen Ozark Affiliate is granted back out into the community to support breast care services with 25% to Komen National for breast cancer research. Currently Komen Ozark supports the Donald W. Reynolds Cancer Support House, Women's Center at Sparks, Mercy Women's Center and Summit Hospital in the River Valley. Supporting Komen is supporting your local family, friends and neighbors in the River Valley.
