‘The Natural State of Speech’ coming to Bentonville Oct. 21-22 Toastmasters District 43 2011 Fall Conference open to clubs, public BENTONVILLE, AR—Toastmasters club members from all of Arkansas, north Mississippi and western Tennessee will have the chance to improve their speaking skills at the annual fall district conference being held in Bentonville, AR on Oct. 21-22. The 85 clubs in those three areas make up District 43 of the International Toastmasters Club. The 2011 District 43 Fall Conference is called “The Natural State of Speech” and will include a wealth of opportunities for participants to learn how to improve their public-speaking and leadership skills. The conference is geared towards Toastmaster members but the public is welcome to participate. “Along with the speech contests, the district conference offers many educational sessions that allow you to develop your communication and leadership skills,” said Isaac Gaona, conference chair and president of the Walmart ISD Toastmasters Club. “New Toastmasters benefit as do as our more tenured members.” This year’s fall conference will be at the Clarion Hotel and Conference Center (211 SE Walton Blvd) in Bentonville, which is in Northwest Arkansas. Bentonville is home to the largest retailer, Walmart, and other major businesses. Bentonville has a growing number of restaurants and the Northwest Arkansas region is filled with points of interest. Bentonville will soon be home to the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art when the museum opens in November. Early bird registration is available now through Aug. 31. The conference, including all sessions, three meals and entertainment each evening, is $80 per person until Aug. 31. After that date, the rate goes up to $90, until Oct. 1 when the rate goes up to $100. All Toastmasters attending any session, meal, or contest must pay a registration fee. Guests also have their choice of either paying for the Conference as a whole, or if they do not plan to attend educational sessions, they may pay for meals only.
