RE: Western Arkansas Ballet to hold open auditions for 26th Annual The Nutcracker
Western Arkansas Ballet, a nonprofit performing arts organization, will hold open auditions for the 26th annual production of The Nutcracker, to be performed December 10, 2011, at the Arkansas Best Corporation Performing Arts Center in Fort Smith at 10:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Anyone over the age of 6 who has had at least 2 years experience in dance and/or gymnastics is eligible to audition. There are also parts for adults and boys with little dance experience.
The auditions will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2011, at the Western Arkansas Ballet Studio, 4701 Grand Avenue, in Fort Smith. Candidates should wear appropriate dance clothing.
Girls ages 6-8 will register from 10:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. and will attend an audition from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Boys ages 6 -12 with little or no dance experience will register from 11:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. and will attend an audition from 11:30 a.m. – 12:00 noon. Girls ages 9 & 10 will register from 12:00 noon until 12:30 p.m. and will attend an audition from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Girls ages 11 years and up will register from 2:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. and will attend an audition from 2:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
