Whit Davis Lumber Plus announces 60th Anniversary Celebration – Chance to win $1,000 CASH
Whit Davis Lumber Plus will celebrate its 60th anniversary on Saturday, April 6th from 8:00am – 1:00pm at 723 School Drive in Jacksonville, 340 Arena Road in Cabot and 80 South Broadview in Greenbrier. Sales prices will begin on Thursday, April 4th. Bob Robbins, with KSSN 96, will kick-off the celebration by broadcasting live at the company’s Greenbrier store on Friday, April 5th from 12:00pm-2:00pm, while giving out free hot dogs and t-shirts. The rest of the activities (at all three locations) will take place on Saturday, April 6th. The public, media and community officials are invited to attend the event.
“We are anticipating a great weekend for the anniversary celebration of our company,” said Terry Toney, President of Whit Davis Lumber Plus. “This is going to be a day of family fun, free food and deals that can’t be beat. We’re proud to be celebrating 60 years of business and want to show these communities our appreciation.”
The anniversary celebration will include free hot dogs and t-shirts, vendor demonstrations, child id kits from local police departments, as well as fire hats, badges and coloring books from each community’s fire department, not to mention outstanding sale items all day. Cabot and Greenbrier Fire Departments will be performing Child Safety Seat Checks, with Greenbrier Fire Department also providing blood pressure and blood sugar screenings. DJ Taylor, with KSSN 96, will be at the Jacksonville location from 9:00am – 11:00am broadcasting live. Chad Heritage, also with KSSN, will be broadcasting live in Cabot from 11:00am-1:00pm. The Cabot location will also have Cabot Animal Shelter’s Mobile Adoption Unit on site for crowd goers to adopt an animal. And finally, customers will have the opportunity to register to win $1,000 CASH. The drawing will be held the week of April 8th.
Whit Davis Lumber is a family-owned and operated company with locations in Jacksonville, Cabot, and Greenbrier. The company has been serving retail customers and contractors in the Central Arkansas area since 1953.
