General Douglas MacArthur 133rd Birthday
On Jan. 26, 1880, Douglas MacArthur was born in the tower building of the old U.S. arsenal, now the MacArthur Museum of Arkansas Military History. To commemorate MacArthur’s birth, the museum will host Dr. Paul Fair. Dr. Fair is the last original member of the General MacArthur Honor Guard, a group of soldiers detailed to protect Gen. MacArthur and his family while in the Philippines and Japan. During the program, Dr. Fair will share first hand experiences with Gen. MacArthur and his family.
Preceding the talk by Dr. Fair, refreshments and birthday cake will be served in honor of Gen. Douglas MacArthur's 133rd birthday.
