24-Hour Music Festival Aims to Unleash Creative Expression and Transformation Creativity of all kinds is the hallmark of the Quantum Flux family gatherings. Their next all-night event that starts April 19 at 12 p.m. at Cadron Creek Outfitters, located at 54 Cargile Lane in Greenbrier, AR. Tickets cost $20, which includes camping. Additional canoe rental is extra and must be booked through Cadron Creek Outfitters. Electrical hookups are also available at campsites for an additional $10. This event is open to all ages, children under 12 get in free. Although music lasts all night, the gate closes at 2 a.m. and no reentry is permitted after 2 a.m. There is a quiet camping area for families away from the main stage area. Gaia Flux is the fifth Quantum Flux event. The first was an overnight music festival that took place in Little Rock last August and attracted about 200 people. Each subsequent event has seen an increase in attendance and participation while maintaining a different theme and evolving lineup. Co-organizer Cat Hicks said she hopes Gaia Flux will provide an atmosphere for safe and creative expression, as well as connection with nature. “Come connect with the Earth and grow as a community with like-hearted people from Arkansas, Missouri, Kansas, Texas, and more,” she said. Amenities will include camping, local food vendors, flow toy and art vendors, and a variety of workshops (including sacred economics, alchemy, acroyoga, and more). No alcohol will be provided on site. If bringing your own, please be prepared to show ID at any time, and do NOT bring glass containers. ONLY aluminum cans or plastic bottles will be permitted. The event will feature national acts Itom Lab (Los Angeles, CA), Infinite Geometry (Asheville, NC), and SubLingual SoundSystem (Dallas, TX), as well as local musicians with electronic, acoustic and ambient styles. The lineup includes Groove Cluster, Cory Stardust, S!Bass Cadet, Sick Numbles, Paul Morphis, Effective Immediately, and many more. There will also be an array of visual, video, and performance art. Live painters and other artists will create and display their work. Fire, hoop and aerial dancers will be among the performers. Creative costumes, games, and characters are greatly encouraged. All Quantum Flux events are more conscious than the average central Arkansas show. Hicks said she wants the event to provide avenues for self-discovery and transformation to those who seek it while remaining a fun experience for more casual attendees.
