BOATER'S EDUCATION COURSE
Everyone born after 1985 must complete an approved boating education course to legally operate a boat in Arkansas. The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission’s course is a minimum of six hours. There is no minimum age to take the course. Students receive a "Boat Arkansas" booklet and other free materials upon arriving to take the course. At the end of the class, students take a 50-question multiple choice test. Those who score at least 80% pass the course and receive a temporary boating education certification card on site while the permanent card is processed and mailed to them.
