Wednesday, February 12th at 6pm, the Hot Springs Jazz Society and Garland County Library present the final free concert in the America’s Art Form Series: “Fusion, Incorporating Elements of Different Cultures and Musical Traditions” in the Library’s Auditorium. Musical guest artists Matt Dickson on saxophone and Garry Henson on trumpet will join the AAFS trio: Clyde Pound on piano, Jay Payette on drums and Brian Wolverton on bass in an evening exploring fusion, musicians expanding the boundaries by incorporating elements from other cultures and other musical styles. Fusion includes but is in no way limited to; Bossa Nova, Afro-Cuban, Jazz-Funk, Jazz-Rock and the well known Rock and Roll, which was developed out of a combination of gospel, blues and country music For information call 501-627-2425 (Hot Springs Jazz Society) or 501-623-4161 (Garland County Library).
