Pasquine's paintings explore subjects associated with Buddhism, specifically the Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, goddesses, and gurus of the Buddhist world. Some are peaceful, others are wrathful, but all have a presence that is riveting and compelling. Executed in brilliant colors in a modernist style, but with fidelity to traditional iconography, these works manifest the power of Buddhist ritual and magic. The exhibition continues through Wed., Feb. 19, 2014.
