CASA of the 5th Judicial District will host its second annual 5k obstacle course Saturday September 13th at 9 a.m. in Hector. The event will feature live music, food and some motivation to run….. zombies! There will be obstacles throughout the course sponsored by Lee’s Trash, Dardanelle Tire, CSI, Appleton Salvage, and more.

as either a zombie for $15 or as a runner for $35, if you register by August 26th you will be guaranteed an event shirt. Those wishing to volunteer can also sign up on the website for free and must be 18 and up. Runners will receive “life flags” that Velcro to a belt worn around the waist. Zombies will be positioned all over the course in several “infected zones” and will attempt to take the runners life flags. A runner must finish the course with at least one “life flag” to finish in top standings and gain any awards.
