Classical/Jazz Explosion will combine a classical string quartet with a jazz combo, creating an “Explosive Fusion “ of music. Featuring the Quapaw String Quartet (Drew Irvin on 1st violin, Meredith Maddox Hicks on violin, Katrina Weeks on viola and David Gerstein on cello) and the ATM Jazz Band (Ce Askew on drums, Les Pack on guitar, Stuart Coles on bass and Clyde Pound on keyboard), the evening will include performances from each musical group before the two converge together to create a whole new sound. New York based guest artist Ray Blue will perform on saxophone and vocalist Tyler Stephenson will sing with local darling Shirley Chauvin who will also Emcee.
