Top of the Rock Chorus is a member of Sweet Adelines International and the premier female chorus in the greater Little Rock area. Members recently competed in the Sweet Adelines International Harmony Classic Competition, Division AA (mid-size) and placed third in the world. The chorus qualified to compete at the International competition in Baltimore, MD by becoming the Division AA chorus champion at the Region 25 contest of Sweet Adelines International in 2013.
The chorus is directed by Peggy Gram and Kelly Causey, with Tamara Boggs as the Assistant Director. Sweet Adelines International is a highly respected worldwide organization of women singers committed to advancing the musical art form of barbershop harmony through education, competition and performance. This independent, nonprofit music education association is one of the world's largest singing organizations for women. Members extend over five continents and belong to more than 500 choruses and 1,200 quartets.
Sweet Adelines choruses and quartets sing exciting a cappella, four-part harmony music, barbershop style. The music includes special arrangements of today's ballads, classic songs, popular show tunes and mainstream music.
Members of Top of the Rock chorus include women from Central Arkansas and Eastern Tennessee. Local members reside in Little Rock, North Little Rock, Sherwood, Benton, Sheridan, Conway, Vilonia, Mayflower, Maumelle, Hot Springs and Hot Springs Village.
