The Arkansas Scottish Country Dance Society Classes

New Session of Classes to Begin - September 14, 20009 The Arkansas Scottish Country Dance Society announces that the Fall Session of dance lessons will begin on Monday, September 14 and run on Monday evenings until November 30, 2009. Classes will be held at Parkhill Presbyterian Church, 3520 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock. Beginning Scottish Country Dance Class 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. Intermediate Scottish Country Dance Class 8:00 - 9:00 p.m. Cost: Adults $55 + $5 annual membership fee and Students (age 12-18) $20 + $5 annual membership fee. Participants will learn basic formations and footwork for dancing traditional and modern Scottish reels, jigs and strathspeys which form the basis of Scottish ballroom dance. No partner or previous dance experience necessary. Casual attire, soft sole shoes required. The Arkansas Scottish Country Dance Society is a non-profit organization established in 1985 by individuals interested in helping to foster traditional Scottish country dancing and music.
