It's time to get ready for the annual Photo Contest at Guachoya! The contest and exhibit will be held from September 8th to October 30th.
This contest is for amateurs only. If you have received monetary benefits from your photographs you are not eligible to enter the contest. However, professionals are invited to display one of their photographs, but it will not be judged.
The photographs will be judged in three divisions, Grades K-6, Grades 7-12 and Adults. Prizes, as well as ribbons, will be awarded to the winners in each division.
Entries must be at least 8x10 in size. They must have been taken in the past year and not previously displayed at Guachoya. Entries are limited to three per person, with a $5 entry fee for each photograph. If you want to sell your photographs you should discuss the price with a Guachoya representative.
Photographs must be framed, ready to hang, with a wire hanger. Entries are due to be turned in at Guachoya by August 28th. Guachoya is located at 1652 Hwy. 65 & 82 South in Lake Village. Hours of operation are: Tuesday, 1 till 6 p.m.; Thursday, 2 till 5 p.m. and Friday, 10 a.m. till 5 p.m.
Entry forms should be picked up at Guachoya at your earliest convenience.
