Fairfield Bay Library, 369 Dave Creek Parkway, Fairfield Bay, Arkansas is pleased to display the artistry of Connie Hood, from October 8th to January 7th, 2010. Flowers and country scenes best describe Connie’s vivid, yet serene acrylics and oils, which she emblazons with great attention to detail and the wonderful essences of the nature around her. Having worked in the Florist industry for 17 years has given her a command of just how a garden should look. Some of her work has been likened to Thomas Kincade, but it is Connie’s own interpretation that gives her signature to her art magic. Recently, Connie won 1st place in oil/acrylic at the Shaw’s Nursery Art Show and there are bound to be many awards coming her way in the future. Connie belongs to North Central Arkansas Artist League and NCAFAE and always has her art on display in the many venues of these two organizations. The public is invited to view her works at the Library during their business hours of Mon.-Tues.-Thurs, 1:00-4:00 p.m. and Wed.-Fri. 10:00-5:00p.m and Saturday 9:30-12:30 p.m. For more information, contact Ellen Kelly, Exhibit Coordinator 501-884-6476.
