Advanced photography, Photoshop intro combined in class at Arts & Science Center Award-winning professional photographer Eric Maynard will lead students in the next step in photography in his “Advanced Photography” class set for 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursdays, Jan. 7-Feb. 11, at the Arts & Science Center, 701 Main St., Pine Bluff. The class, for teens and adults, will include a section on “Basic Intro to Photoshop” and costs $75 for Center members and $110 for non-members. Pre-registration is required and a minimum of nine students are required for the class. Maynard, owner of Eric Maynard Photography and director of the Delta Rivers Nature Center, says the class will focus on “expanding creativity and pushing abilities further.” Students will study painting with light, commercial photography, night and low-light shooting, multiple exposures and other specialty areas of photography as well as Photoshop capabilities. He was named “Best Photographer” by the Stuttgart Peoples’ Choice Awards and is a two-time winner of “Best of Grand Prairie” at the Grand Prairie Festival of Arts. Maynard also teaches photography at the University of Arkansas PPC campuses at Stuttgart and DeWitt. The center, located at 701 Main St. in Pine Bluff, is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, 1-4 p.m. Saturday and closed on Sunday.
