This past December, Julie displayed her art at the “Mustard Tree Arts Festival, Fellowship Bible Church, Little Rock, Arkansas. “Angels on High,” a watercolor and “God’s Eye”, an acrylic were both sold at this annual event where the topic was “Jesus the Light.” She participated in the Spring Art Show at Shaw’s nursery, Greers Ferry, Arkansas and shows continuously with the venues of the North Central Arkansas Artist League. She currently serves as secretary for the League. Julie has a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Masters of Education from the University of Memphis, Tennessee. She has traveled extensively throughout Europe and the Far East and her travels are reflected in the details of her art pieces. While she employs colored pencils in many of her projects, the current exhibit features her watercolor prowess. Nature and landscape, people and serenity are common themes.
