Pastel Artist Featured at Fairfield Bay Library Rosalie Musial expresses her love of animals and people through her radiant pastels and oils. Visitors to the Fairfield Bay Library, 369 Dave Creek Parkway, Fairfield Bay, Arkansas will be impressed with her mastery of the art medium of pastels. Rosalie started painting in oils around 30 years ago, but she claims that trying something new set her on a path that would be her focus for years to come-soft pastels. She states, “I always use acid free suede board and a high quality pastel to guarantee my paintings will not fade. If a pastel painting is properly cared for; it will last for hundreds of years.” Her artistic endeavors allow her to create original works of art from client’s photographs of people and pets. As a member of North Central Arkansas Artist League, Rosalie exhibits with the club at their various venues around the area. To view the library show, patrons can visit through April 5th, Monday-Tuesday and Thursday from 1:00-4:00 p.m. Wednesday and Fridays 10:00a.m.-5:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:30 am-12:30 p.m.. The show is open for free to the general public with most of the artwork for sale. For more information, contact Ellen Kelly, NCAAL library exhibit coordinator 884-6476.
