Bridges was raised in Hot Springs and graduated from the University of Arkansas with a B.A. in Business Administration. Bridges’ photographs are captured using a 120mm Holga and printed in darkroom. Bridges’ work has won numerous awards, including being named one to watch in 2010 by the Arkansas Democrat and his work has exhibited all across the United States including New York, Oregon, Vermont, Louisiana, Tennessee and Florida well as being a part of numerous museum permanent collections. Bridges’ work has been accepted for the SAAC Juried Art Competition multiple times, and he received the Wilma Riley Purchase Award in 2010. Currently he has photographs in shows in Vermont, the Arkansas Arts Center in Little Rock, and in two exhibits in New York. Members of the South Arkansas Arts Center's Executive Board give the community a glimpse into what catches their eye when it comes to art this month with an exhibition of works from their private collections in the Lobby Gallery. Some surprises lie in store when many of the works are revealed to the public for the very first time. An artist reception for both exhibitions will be hosted on Saturday, February 12 from 6-8pm. All exhibitions are free and open to the public. For more information about the exhibitions, contact the SAAC office at 862-5474 or visit www.saac-arts.org.
