River Valley Arts Center displays Sandra Millsap's photography exhibit at Lake Dardanelle State Park Visitor Center during the month of April.
"It is certainly worth a special family outing to visit and enjoy the state park and view Sandra's exhibit," said Betty LaGrone, Arts Center executive director.
"It was a difficult journey of loss in 2007, that I discovered my passion for photography", said Sandra in an her artist statement. She continued, "I found much needed peace and refuge in the quiet, natural beauty of the world around me. God began to minister to my aching heart through the brilliance of a sunset, the power of a thunderstorm, a gentle breeze across my face, the sound of a rushing brook...a lovely Spring blossom. And so, I began to 'listen,' there is always an amazing opportunity to capture something extraordinary. It is my hope that you are moved by this tiny glimpse of my heart through this display of some of my most treasured moments - moved enough to stop and notice the beauty in your world...in our world. I have captured many humorous moments too, but will save those for another time."
Sandra lives in Danville with husband Rick. They have two adult children and four grandchildren.
