Society of Illustrators Traveling Exhibition - Illustrators 53
This traveling exhibit is an annual tour of forty creative works selected from the Society of Illustrators Annual Exhibition. The Society of Illustrators is located at 128 East 63rd Street (between Park and Lexington Avenues) in
New York, NY. These works are a representative sample of the best in the six categories of the Annual Exhibition: Sequential, Editorial, Book, Advertising, Institutional, and Uncommissioned.
Of the artists in each show, some are familiar and some are the rising stars of tomorrow. Over that past twenty-eight years selections from the Annual Exhibition has traveled to various college and university campuses.

The Society of Illustrator’s mission is to promote the art of illustration, to appreciate its history and evolving nature through exhibitions, lectures and education, and to contribute the service of its members to the welfare of the community at large. Founded in 1901, the Society has had a distinguished yet lively history as an active participant in the ever-changing field of illustration. The vitality of the organization depends on attracting qualified artists and others to join in their mission.
