Exhibition of WWII Japanese American Internee Art About the collection In 2010, the Butler Center for Arkansas Studies, a department of the Central Arkansas Library System, received this collection of artwork and documents from Rosalie Gould of McGehee. Rohwer art teacher Jamie Vogel, who was determined after the war to protect and display the pieces of art her students had given to her, willed her friend Gould the collection, which she has preserved in its entirety since Vogel's death in 1994. The Art of Living will be on display in Concordia Hall in the Arkansas Studies Institute (401 President Clinton Ave.) from September 9 through November 26, 2011. All events are free and open to the public. Gallery hours are Monday through Saturday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. About the Butler Center The Butler Center for Arkansas Studies, a department of the Central Arkansas Library System, is located in the Arkansas Studies Institute on the campus of the Main Library.
