Museum of Discovery: GPS Adventures: This traveling exhibit highlights the history and current uses of GPS technology. Learn the basics of traditional and modern navigation, current GPS technology and about the sport of geocaching as they learn about hidden caches positioned throughout Arkansas State Parks. Geared toward ages six through adult, this exhibit allows you to hold GPS-enabled gear, opening doors to the life-changing possibilities GPS technology makes possible today and tomorrow. This exhibit highlights the wildly popular sport of geocaching, a worldwide game of hiding and seeking treasure. A geocacher can place a geocache practically anywhere in the world, pinpoint its location using GPS technology and then share the geocache’s existence and location online. Anyone with a GPS unit can then try to locate the geocache. The exhibit will open Saturday and will run through April 1, 2013. General admission is $10 for adults and $8 for children ages 1-12. Children under one and members are free. Museum of Discovery, 500 President Clinton Ave., Suite 150, Little Rock. For more information, call (501) 396-7050.
