El Acapulco offers a selection of 27 Combination Dinners for $6.49. Being a taco lover, I went for the No. 10, which consists of two tacos, rice and beans. Although the tacos weren't bad, they could have been better. The hamburger had a reddish orange hue and was pretty greasy. About halfway through the first taco, the bottom fell out, which didn't bode well for the other one still sitting on the plate. The rice and refried beans were standard Mexican restaurant fare, but they were good nonetheless.
The Burrito Mexicano was $5.49, a flour tortilla stuffed with shredded beef, tomatoes, onions and peppers that's topped with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and guacamole. The beef filling was delicious, and the large burrito was more than even most people could eat in one sitting.
El Acapulco has a large selection of menu items that include beef, chicken and shrimp dishes as well as fajitas, enchiladas, burritos, nachos, quesadillas, salads and chimichangas, most of which are priced below $12. They also offer 10 items on a children's menu for those 10 and under, and adults can order from that section for $2 more.
