About this place
The interior decoration continues the rugged the me that began outside. The walls are covered in corrugated metal and sport some interesting little signs, small farming implements, and old feed or seed bags. Tables are sturdy and covered in green vinyl tablecloths.
We didn't realize until entering that Hart's - which started in Conway in 1981, moved to Greenbrier in 1999 and returned to Conway in 2003 - is a buffet restaurant instead of a sit-down establishment. As hungry as we were, that was fine with us. A friendly employee made her way to us and told us to help ourselves.
The prices are reasonable, considering the variety of dishes the buffet offers. It's $10.95 for everyone 10 and over, and $4.50 for ages 4 through 9. Drinks are $1.25. On Sundays the buffet is $9.50, with drink included. And if you want crab legs, they're $7 extra.
The cold bar contains slaw, tartar sauce, green tomato relish, bread and butter pickles, potato salad, sliced onions, cocktail sauce, boiled shrimp and imitation crab.
There's a salad bar on the other end of the buffet, but I didn't see it until after I'd finished my meal and was on the way to the small dessert area. The salad bar contains the basics like lettuce, shredded cheese, chopped eggs, diced ham, dressing, croutons, along with butter, sour cream and bacon bits for baked potatoes on the buffet.
