Presbytery of Arkansas

Description

The Presbytery of Arkansas is a governing body of the Presbyterian Church (USA) with 91 congregations, one Korean fellowship, one Laotian ministry, and two new church developments. Our geographic region ranges from the Oklahoma border to the Mississippi River and from Missouri in the North southward to the piney woods of Lower Arkansas. Although many of our churches are large or medium sized, we are gathered in mostly small churches. Many of our churches are located in cities such as Little Rock and Fort Smith, and in the Northwest corridor of Arkansas from Fayetteville to Bentonville and Rogers, which is one of our nation's fastest growing areas. Many can be found in retirement meccas such as Bella Vista, Hot Springs Village, Fairfield Bay, and Holiday Island. Other congregations are located in villages and towns scattered across the delta of East Arkansas, in the pine forests of central and South Arkansas, in the Arkansas River valley and in the Ozarks and Ouachita mountains.
