I'm with you Lfraz43 every one should be paying their share of taxes. There's only one way to do it and put the brakes on runaway government spending.

Restrict the Federal Government power of taxation to Article One of the US Constitution. That limits the Federal Government to lay on the Government of each State for every one living in that State.

The root cause of our current problems which includes poverty, illegal immigration, runaway government spending, Iraq, Afghanistan, and so on. Is the direct result of The US Government of 1913. With the ratification of the 16th and 17th Amendments of the US Constitution. We went from a nation of states that created and was in control of a Central Government. To a nation of states that is controlled by a Central Government. Almost 100 years have past since their ratification. We need to take a good hard look at the ramification of these two Amendments.

There will be no resolution of any kind that will make any difference until we REPEAL the 16th and 17th Amendments!

With The repeal of the 16th Congress then will be restricted to lay taxes according to Article 1 of the US Constitution.

The Constitution divides all taxes into two classes: direct and indirect. Article I, Section 8, Clause 1 grants the federal government its power to impose taxes:

"The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defense and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States."

The above section is limited by Article I, Section 2, Clause 3:

"Representatives and direct Taxes shall be apportioned among the several States…."

And Article I, Section 9, Clause 4:

"No Capitation, or other direct Tax, shall be laid, unless in Proportion to the Census or Enumeration…."

As contemplated by the Founders, direct taxes were required to be levied according to the rule of apportionment while indirect taxes were required to be levied according to the rule of uniformity. Thus, anytime Congress attempted to impose a direct tax; it was required to apportion the tax among the States according to the rule of apportionment.

With the repeal of the 17th US Senators would then be selected and have to answer to each state legislators. To which every state would share equal power over the Federal Government! Thous makes your local State Legislator responsible for every bill passed to the President for His signature.

Actually, Lfraz43, you don't get it and won't admit it, that if Barack were white you wouldn't be so bitter and negative. If Barack were white, there would be no tea party or losers like you who want to turn the clock to the 17th C.
