With no council, Fisher could lose its status as a city July 14, 2014 at 2:55 p.m.

How about starting with lowering its class to "incorporated town?" The minimum population for a class-2 is 500.

Corporation as conscience July 2, 2014 at 2:08 p.m.

Let's stick to the facts. Hobby Lobby was already covering the other 16 methods (which stop fertilization when they work) of federally mandated birth control for free, no co-pay. They were opposed to paying for the four methods (2 morning after pills and 2 IUDs) that kill the fetus after fertilization. Next, nothing is stopping a female employee from paying for them herself. Three, starting wage at Hobby Lobby is twice minimum wage, so they're getting paid well. Four, the Supreme Court limited its ruling to the complaint in the lawsuit. Five, if a business owner doesn't want to pay for life-saving methods covered in its health insurance policy required by the ACA (ObamaCare) based on religious grounds, let them sue the government and look stupid. Six, since Ginsburg probably never ran a business she wouldn't know that providing health insurance has always been used as a way to attract employees. It was never required until Heir Obama was anointed Chancellor of the United States. Finally, when the Citizens United ruling gave free speech rights to publicly owned corporations and unions (which are loved by Liberals) why is it such a stretch that individuals who own a business don't have to give up their religious views. Following that logic Hobby Lobby would be required to open on Sundays so more people can work.

State workers to pay more in premiums June 18, 2014 at 1:53 p.m.

This year the state employee plans and retiree plans were changed to meet ObamaCare requirements. The co-pays went from $25 to $35 for the primary physician and $35 to $70 for a specialist. Out-of-pocket in-network went from $1,500 to $2,500, which is why the proposed changes in the deductible is confusing. There's something missing from this article. BTW; my portion of the monthly premium went up less than $3.

Clinton chafed at GOP push to abolish Commerce June 6, 2014 at 9:45 p.m.

Obama is turning us into a third-world country. And, let's not forget it was the Clinton commerce department that turned over our rocket and satellite secrets to the Chinese because they were having launch problems and we wanted them to like us.
