Speaking as someone in the education field, this "center of the universe" also carries forward to the school setting. Children in school are now allowed to behave any way they choose, wear whatever they choose, and do the amount of work they choose. Any hint of correction, and Mommy and Daddy are running up to complain about how their little darling is being picked on.

Bob Gillson, why do you and everyone else think homosexuality also means no morals? When my son was a child, there were lots of den mothers - women who oversaw the Cub Scouts. Homosexual men like other men. I assume most of the mothers also like men. So why is that not an issue? During her school years, my daughter had lots of male coaches. I assume most of them like girls. Why was that not a problem?
