Gunman robs Little Rock Kmart

A gunman forced an assistant manager of Kmart in Little Rock back into the store after it closed Sunday night and then made him open the safe. police have said.

Police say the robber made off with about $6,000 in the robbery of the store at 10901 N. Rodney Parham Road.

According to a Little Rock Police Department report, the assistant manager was leaving about 9 p.m. when he noticed someone had pierced one of the tires on his pickup.

While the man was working to repair it, the gunman came up behind him and demanded he open the door to the business.

The employee did so and was then forced at gunpoint to open the safe.

After getting the cash, the robber fled on foot and wasn't found. No arrests have been made.
