Doug Dickey

Years At Arkansas: 1958-63

Position: Defensive Backs Coach, Running Backs Coach

Best Known Job: Head Coach, Tennessee (1964-69) and Florida (1970-78)

During the off-season that Frank Broyles was hired as Arkansas' coach, Dickey also came to the Razorbacks.

He spent six seasons in Fayetteville, helping Arkansas to at least a share of three Southwest Conference championships. He was named head coach at Tennessee just before the Razorbacks completed their greatest season ever, which was capped with a national championship.

Dickey went 46-15-1 at Tennessee and led the Volunteers to two Southeastern Conference championships and a No. 2 final ranking in 1967. Shortly after losing to his alma mater Florida in the 1970 Gator Bowl, he was named Florida's head coach, but his nine seasons with the Gators produced only a .500 record in conference games and no bowl wins.
