LITTLE ROCK — Shirley High School senior Michelle Raab received a $4,000 scholarship from the THEA Foundation for her mixed media art employing collage, oil, pastel and wool.
Her art teacher, Tonya Wentzel. couldn't be prouder.
"I think it is fabulous. She's one of the best students I've had so far," Wentzel said.
"She has a very good eye, her perception is so good."
The THEA Foundation is a nonprofit, public foundation founded in 2001 by the parents of Linda and Paul David Leopoulos in honor of their daughter Thea. The foundation encourages youth participation in visual and performing arts.
