Chelsea Clinton to visit ASU

— Chelsea Clinton will pay a visit Sunday to the state where she grew to adolescence while her father was governor and her mother a partner at a high-powered law firm.

Clinton plans to campaign for the presidential bid of her mother, U.S. Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y., with an appearance on the campus of Arkansas State University, according to a news release from the school. Arkansas holds its presidential primaries on Feb. 5, and Sen. Clinton is a candidate in the Democratic primary.

Chelsea Clinton, 27, was born in February 1980 while her father, Bill Clinton, was serving his first term as governor of Arkansas. She was 12 when he was elected president in 1992, and moved with her parents to the White House early in 1993.

The ASU news release said Chelsea Clinton would meet with university students and local residents in a lounge of the ASU Student Union, beginning at 3 p.m.
