Former Pulaski County Circuit Court Judge Floyd J. Lofton presided over the 1990 capital-murder trial of Bruce Earl Ward, whose subsequent death sentence was overturned in 1992 by the Arkansas Supreme Court. Then-Pulaski County Circuit Judge John Plegge was incorrectly identified as the 1990 trial judge in an article Tuesday about Ward's third death sentence being upheld by the 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.
