Little Rock Parkview's Aaron Ross and Jonesboro Westside's Hunter Mickelson signed with Arkansas on Wednesday, the first day of the early signing period.
The two forwards are part of a highly touted recruiting class that also includes East Poinsett County guard Rashad “Ky” Madden
ESPN ranks Ross, 6-8, 220, as the No. 22 small forward in the nation and the No. 98 overall prospect. Mickelson, 6-10, 220, is listed as the No. 8 power forward in the country and the No. 48 overall prospect.
Speaking after signing his letter in front of family, coaches, teammates and a couple hundred students packed into the school gym, Mickelson said he has clear goals.
"Hopefully a national championship would be a good one," he said. "And starting out, work hard in practice, just kind of adjust to the college level and hopefully get a starting spot."

Arkansas expects to land one of the nation’s top-ranked recruiting classes during the early signing period, which runs through Nov. 17. The class has been ranked as high as No. 2 with Madden.
In additon to the in-state recruits, Arkansas expects to sign combination guard B.J. Young, 6-4, 170 pounds, of Florissant (Mo.) McCluer North. He is ranked as the No. 3 point guard and No. 19 overall prospect in the nation by ESPN.
Other players signed Wednesday as well.
David Rivers, a three-year starter for Little Rock Hall, will sign with the Nebraska Cornhuskers at 1 p.m. in the Hall High Media Center.
During River's tenure at Hall, he has helped the Warriors make it to the state finals three times, two times winning the state championship. He hopes to help Hall win another this season as well.
